The journey begins with the crafters of the Northern Cape inspired by nature featuring a selection of exciting new projects blooming in the area. The Western Cape presents a wide range of South African crafts boasting the largest concentration of sites in the country. Rich in cultural legacy, the Eastern Cape is home to variety of tribal crafts unique to the province. Moving up the coast, KwaZulu-Natals crafts represent a deep cultural influence. The Zulu crafters of the region take enormous pride in the intense quality and creativity of their work. The central Freestate province dotted with creative pockets is host to a range practical initiatives as well as authentic Basotho weaving. For an authentic African experience the North West houses numerous cultural villages and a variety of contemporary South African painters. Gauteng represents a cosmopolitan of local cultural crafts often showcased in the form of vibrant rambles and markets. Drawing inspiration from traditional and contemporary styles, Mpumalangas intricate and colourful crafts stem from the the artistic Ndebele culture. Finally, the ancient and mystical Limpopo province is home to an interesting selection of artists, many of which are internationally recognised.
