Khumbulani Craft was established in 1999 as a Section 21 not for profit company.  At first part of The Siyazisiza Trust, it was necessary to establish Khumbulani Craft as an independent organisation because of the restriction of trading by non profit organisations. In real terms, therefore, Khumbulani trades directly on behalf of rural communities that would otherwise be unable to reach markets themselves.
