Watching the Tsunami from the beach - a firsthand account of events |
Dale Woods, a recently qualified CA from KPMG in Johannesburg on secondment in Tokyo was traveliing with Antonia in Thailand - specifically in Phukett and Kho Phi Phi – for their xmas vacation. Dale was at the Viewpoint Resort, up on the hill, and watched as the Tsunami hit. This is his story. The South African Red Cross Society is assisting the disaster relief efforts, both in South East Asia and in Africa, and is calling for support from all who are able. |

A firsthand account of the Tsunami Disaster |
Here is a first hand account of the day the Tsunami hit experienced by Antonia Bothner, a recently qualified CA from KPMG in Johannesburg who is on a secondment in Tokyo. Antonia was travelling with her friend Dale in Thailand - specifically in Phukett and Kho Phi Phi – for their xmas vacation. The South African Red Cross Society is assisting the disaster relief efforts both in South East Asia and in Africa (Somalia and Kenya) and is calling for support from all who are able. |
