Catholic Community Service (CCS) aims to bring about its vision/mission through the operation of three porgrammes namely Thuthukani Organisational Development Programme, Maru Garden Programme and the Impilo Nutrition Programme. We aim to work in partnership with people who have an idea of how to change their lives and that of their communities for the better, but who lack the skills to plan and implement their ideas, strengthen their capacity or help them acquire new skills so that they can become strong and effective community organisations.
To enhance the likelihood security and self reliance for our partners through encouragement, training and support in organic vegetable production, to support community members who are willing to set up a community kitchen with organisational development skills, in order to help them respond to those who are hungry and/or malnourished, especially children, the elderly and those infected by HIV/AIDS. To empower community kitchen members to improve the lives of those who cannot help themselves with funding for food and equipment.
