To provide adults with intellectual disability and or psychiatric illnesses, with the opportunity to work productively. The 60 workers are involved in the production of high quality craft goods which are in great demand. They enjoy social contact, enhanced self-esteem and meaningful occupation. The Centre offers supported employment service to a further 30 workers with special needs, on the open labour market. To provide accommodation in two group homes for 7 and 8 residents respectively. These adults require minimal supervision and have the opportunity to learn life skills encouraging their independent living. |

The organisation is run by an executive committee consisting of business men and professionals. There is a separate Medical Committee which deals with new applications and on-going management of workers, as well as on-going in-house training by psychiatrists, family practitioners, social workers and staff. The staff consists of supervisors, machinists, managers (coffee shop and gift shop), domestic workers and house parents. |
