To address lifelong residential, healthcare, recreational and emotional needs of our multi-disabled residents and day-workers. Outreach programmes in especially previously disadvantaged communities are a priority. We will achieve this through offering high quality services that are cost effective and resident focused. Our efforts will be supported by sound financial management, administrative efficiency and active participation by our residents and day-workers.

Thirty years ago the late founder realized that there was a great need for residential care for multi-disabled adults. He, and other significant role players were the founder members of the now Connie Mulder Centre for multi-disabled adults. The Centre initially catered only for intellectually impaired adults, but this has changed, and it, at present caters for multi-disabled adults. Another feature that has changed is the concept of “day-workers”. It was found that parents from the previously disadvantaged areas are not keen in allowing their disabled children to become residents of the Centre. We are now accommodating these disabled adults on a day-worker basis ie. Fetching them from their parental homes on a daily basis, accommodating them in our sheltered employment workshops and taking them back to their parental homes at the end of a working day.
