As the founding Society of the SPCA movement and animal welfare in South Africa, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA is the benchmark for animal care and protection in our land. We achieve this by always giving caring treatment and comfortable shelter and protecting the rights of animals, birds, reptiles and the creatures of the ocean by actively promoting a love and respect for all. We are steadfast in our determination to create an awareness of cruelty to all creatures as a priority, not only in the minds of the “person in the street” but also in the minds of regional government, local authorities, religious leaders and other bodies.
