Thank you so much for your donation in support of our efforts to bring people and nature together on the Cape Flats. Your donation enabled two learners from high schools on the Cape Flats to participate in the Cape Flats Nature Trail on 11 February 2006.
This activity is hosted four times a year in partnership with the Schools Environmental Education Programme (SEEP). The Trail takes learners from several Cape Flats schools across the old apartheid divides hiking through Wolfgat Nature Reserve and the Philippi horticultural area to the Edith Stephens Wetland Park, learning about the natural and built environment in their city, and developing leadership and teamwork skills.
Comments from participants who benefited from the Trail in February:
I learnt about how we need nature to survive and how we can care for it. Moegsien, Crestway High School
It was exciting, I learnt a lot. Thembela, South Peninsula High School
I enjoyed having people explain stuff to us. Nathan, Heideveld High School
Thanks again for your support.
Best wishes,
