Thembalitsha Foundation is a non-profit organisation, which focuses on social development. Our projects help build responsible individuals who are equipped and willing to contribute to the life of their communities and to the economic and social well being of South Africa. Poverty cannot be alleviated unless you address the issue of education. School of Hope is a registered special-needs school (Reg No: 13/3/1/165).

School of Hope is the answer to the growing number of children at risk in South Africa, who due to adverse circumstances have missed a large portion of their school education. Our learners are either former street children or come from abusive homes. As a result they have missed a substantial amount of their education and are at least three years older than the other learners in their class.

Transforming people to a point of self-reliance. It will allow us to educate and empower our learners to a point of self sustainability.
