Learn to Earn, a skills training and job creation organisation which has been in operation in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, since 1989 is looking for volunteers with computer skills. A volunteer has developed an easy to use database system on Microsoft Access for LTE and we need people to help us transfer the information from our existing database onto this new one.

We need a volunteer to compile a profile of the 3 communities in which LTE operates. This task involves researching and summarising demographic statistics of communities of Khayelitsha, Fisantekraal and Zwelihle/Mount Pleasant.

- Data Capturers
|
We are currently updating our database and need help with this task. We need 2 people to assist us. The task is : transfer ring (using Microsoft Access)all our student data from our old database onto the new one. Once this task is done, the next stage will be for the volunteers to telephone all these people on our database to update their addresses and employment details. This entire task will take up to two weeks and the volunteers will have to work at Learn to Earn in Khayelitsha. This is a valuable contribution a volunteer can make to LTE as we need updated information to channel job offers and opportunities to our unemployed graduates.
