Cause: Brain Injury Group (BIG) |
A brain injured survivor cannot lead a meaningful life on his/her own. The community around such a person play an important role in with healing activities. A person can become a “healing hand” and these volunteers can assist in the healing process (which is a life long process) for the brain injured community bmo volunteering time, skills and/or financial means. As an initial step, BIG is negotiating to assess brain injured people on their functionalitiy level. This will enable BIG to develop further programmes based on their individual functionality levels. To train 10 medical personnel to do the assessements will cost approximately R10 000 (mostly travel costs). |
