Due to the remote location of the Daktari Wildlife Orphanage, it cannot be connected to electricity and relies only on paraffin lanterns for lighting. The orphanage requires solar garden lights to provide adequate lighting for the pathways leading to the accomodation units.
The solar garden lights will provide lighting along the pathways to the accomodation units at the orphanage. The lights will benefit all visitors, including disabled guests to whom the orphanage specifically caters for. At present, paraffin lanterns are the only supply of light along the pathways. The lanterns are difficult for disabled guests to carry and pose a safety risk to all, due to the presence of a naked flame. Solar garden lights would eliminate the need to carry paraffin lanterns and would allow guests a safer means of moving to and from their accomodation units.
