At present the Daktari Wildlife Orphanage has the use of only one vehicle to carry out patrols, track identification along roads and to transport volunteers and guests to and from the orphanage. The vehicle is currently in need of new tyres to maintain it in a safe and reliable condition and allow it to handle the rough terrain around the orphanage.

The orphanage is dependent on the good condition of their only vehicle in order to carry out a large majority of daily duties. New tyres would allow for the safe transportation of guests and volunteers to and from the orphanage. It would allow the orphanage directors and volunteers to safely use the vehicle for picking up tools and materials from nearby towns, track identification along roads and patrols throughout the reserve.
