It is Twenty 30's vision that South Africa will be a developed first world country embracing its African identity by the year 2030.
|
|
|
Twenty30 inspires South Africans into action. The basic work that Twenty30 does is based on a model of corporate volunteer consultants, giving of their time and expertise to aid those South Africans who were never given the chance to study such skills. We focus on management and leadership levels within the organisation. We have the most amazing group of VC’s which are diverse, dynamic and dedicated to our country. They have found it wonderful to meet like-minded South Africans.
Our VC’s are between the ages of 20 and 30. We see this model as one that can be run in a number of different organisations. We have also in the past worked with 2 major AIDS organisations with fantastic, sustainable outcomes.

As we are such a new organisation, we can only cover a few small but significant achievements and highlights.
- Our work with CARE, proved phenomenal and we are proud to have helped in such a meaningful and sustainable way
- Of course the Shuttleworth Foundation funding us, was a major highlight
- Our Volunteer Consulting Model was to be used as an intervention model to support leadership and management capacity within schools. Once this programme culminates, we will be able to measure our success, which in the meantime is being shown in ongoing reports
- Personal highlights for the Twenty30 team have been meeting the amazing educators, the diverse and dynamic volunteers and the many wonderful contacts we have made through each other’s networks

- To roll out our programme on a much larger scale
- To keep developing on our core competencies as well as spread out into other sectors and organisations and eventually nationwide
- To build strong, sustainable management and leadership teams by means of this programme. If this is used in those areas that South Africa is struggling with at present, such as education, the AIDS epidemic, certain governmental infrastructures, hospitals, clinics and the likes, we feel that we can uplift our entire country
- To take South Africa into the future as well adapted and equipped as any other 1st world country, only even better, by embracing our African identity and wondrous resources
- To develop Twenty30's concept of Skills' Volunteerism across a wide range of South Africa 's sectors where management, leadership and organisational skills are required
