| Do it Day was about renovations to our school. This was achieved by painting the spectator stands, the administration office, burglar bars on the windows as well as burglar gates to the administartion area. We also managed to get the stoep rails painted on the day. |

| The spectator stand, burglars bars and gates to the administartion area from both sides was completed. The administration office was not completed due to time constraints. This was completed by the school handyman. The project also got media coverage from Sosh Times, the local newspaper, where the director Ms.Belinda Msiza, the school principal and some of the volunteers were interviewed. The story is covered in the October-November Edition of Sosh Times. |

| It took the volunteers the entire day from 08h30 - 16h00 to complete the work. The volunteers from Men on the Side of the Road did not pitch but fortunately Volunteer Venture SA had 5 other volunteers on board who could get involved to make sure the day was a success. |

| GreaterGood SA raised funds for the purchase of all the material for the project and Volunteer Venture provided lunch and tarnsport for the volunteers. |

| We owe our heartfelt thanks to GGSA for providing Volunteer Venture SA with this opportunity to make a difference in the community especially for Ntsha-Peu Primary School. The school and the teachers expressed their gratitude as well. We would like to see this kind of event get regular support as organisations such as Volunteer venture would like to make this an ongoing project on a long term basis in a form of holiday workcamps. There are people out there who are willing to make a difference through volunteering but do not know where to go. This kind of projects provides a platform for that even if for a short term. All thanks to GGSA for making this possible and Volunteer Ventrue SA wishes you the best of success in the support you give to civil society organisations. |
